Ancient Ceremonies was founded by Rodolfo De Angeli, driven by a mission to help individuals reconnect with their true selves through the time-honored Andean and Amazonian healing traditions. In 2010, after years of chasing success and collecting material accomplishments, I found myself at a crossroads—wealthy, but unfulfilled. Despite the outward appearance of having it all, there was an emptiness that no amount of money or external success could fill. I struggled with anxiety, depression, and a profound sense of disconnection.
It wasn’t until I traveled to the Andes of Peru, and drank from a humble stone cup in the presence of wise curanderos, that I began to uncover the healing and clarity I’d been seeking for so long. The ancient practices of the Andes offered me something far more valuable than money: they helped me reclaim my soul.
Through plant medicine and traditional ceremonies, I experienced a profound inner transformation that brought me peace, fulfillment, and a renewed sense of purpose. This journey was the catalyst for creating Ancient Ceremonies, a space where others can find the same healing and connection to their true selves that I did.

We are fully dedicated to guiding each guest with compassion, transparency, and warmth. You’ll be working directly with us, sharing in our lives as our teachers do with us, and becoming part of our family during your stay. At Ancient Ceremonies, each ceremony is a sacred and deeply personal experience. With small group sizes, we ensure that every participant receives the individual care and attention they need, allowing for profound healing and transformation.
Our ceremonies follow the 3,500-year-old tradition and style of curanderismo from the pre-Columbian culture of consciousness of Chavín, in the high Andes of Peru. As the sole curandero at Ancient Ceremonies in Australia, Rodolfo leads each ceremony, sharing wisdom passed down from his mentor, the late Maestro Don Howard Lawler, along with insights from over a decade of practice. After years of apprenticeship under his teacher’s guidance, Rodolfo now carries the torch of this ancient Andean tradition, helping others heal just as he once healed himself.
Rodolfo’s deep connection to this tradition allows him to guide participants through each step of their journey with care and expertise. The intimate group size ensures that Rodolfo can provide one-on-one attention to anyone in need, maintaining a safe and nurturing space for healing, just as it was done in Chavín 3,500 years ago.

After the retreat, our support continues with weekly conversations for three weeks to help you integrate the gifts of your experience into your daily life. Just as our teachers have mentored us, we are here to mentor you in a way that is authentic to the ancient practices we follow.
