Rodolfo De Angeli
Maestro and Founder of Ancient Ceremonies Australia and Peru
Rodolfo did not begin this path as a teacher.
In 2010, despite building a successful external life, he was living with anxiety, depression, and a constant sense of disconnection that no achievement seemed to resolve.
He began searching for help.
His first encounter with this world was not within true tradition. It was a lesson in discernment and in how easily sacred work can be misrepresented.
Only later, in Peru, did he encounter the traditions that would shape his life.
He did not travel there to become a curandero. He had no interest in titles, status, or leaving the life he had built. In fact, the work itself felt intimidating at first.
What began as personal healing slowly became years of disciplined practice under the guidance of Maestro Don Howard Lawler within the Chavín lineage, and Maestro Don Rober Acho Jarama within the Lamista tradition.
The apprenticeship came after sustained work on himself. It was not a career decision. It was a gradual responsibility that emerged over time.
Today, Rodolfo continues to practice in the same structure in which he was trained.
His role is not to elevate himself, but to maintain the integrity of the work as it was given to him.
Don Howard Lawler
Founder of SpiritQuest Shamanic Sanctuary
October 3, 1947 - October 13, 2019
Maestro Don Howard Lawler dedicated his life to the preservation and teaching of the Chavín Huachuma mesa, a pre-Columbian Andean ceremonial tradition rooted in structure, discipline, and direct experience.
For decades, he held ceremonies in Peru, maintaining a consistent format grounded in lineage and responsibility.
Rodolfo was his only full apprentice, training beside him over years of sustained practice at SpiritQuest Sanctuary. During that time, he was also the only person to hold ceremony directly at Don Howard’s side.
The training emphasized repetition, steadiness, and respect for the structure itself, not personality, not performance.
Although he passed in 2019, the work continues through Rodolfo and through his daughter, Selva, in the same format in which it was taught.
Don Rober Acho Jarama
Maestro Banco Ayahuasquero
Maestro Don Rober Acho Jarama is a Lamista Banco Ayahuasquero from the upper Amazon, carrying forward a lineage of curanderismo passed down through generations in his family.
He first drank Ayahuasca at eight years old.
He began formal apprenticeship in early adolescence, and by eighteen was serving ceremony himself.
Today, after more than six decades of practice, he is recognized as a Banco, the highest level of mastery within the Ayahuasca tradition. The term refers not to status, but to responsibility: the capacity to hold, direct, and stabilize ceremonial space.
In addition to Ayahuasca work, he is also trained as a palero, vegetalista, and curandero within the broader Amazonian healing tradition.
At Ancient Ceremonies Banco Puma Sanctuary in Peru, he continues to hold ceremonies alongside his family, Doña Eliana and Don Carlos, maintaining the structure in which he was trained.
Rodolfo’s apprenticeship under Maestro Don Rober remains ongoing, grounded in discipline, repetition, and lineage continuity.
The work is not adapted. It is preserved.
Doña Eliana Acho
Maestra Ayahuasquera
Doña Eliana Acho has worked within the Lamista curanderismo tradition for over two decades.
Although she entered the path later than her husband, Maestro Don Rober, she became a dedicated ceremonial practitioner through years of disciplined training and direct experience.
She serves as an Ayahuasquera and curandera, working with Ayahuasca as well as other traditional Amazonian plants including Camalonga, Chiric Sanango, and Bobinsana.
Her role in ceremony is steady and precise. Through icaros and post-ceremonial floral baths, she supports the stabilization and integration of participants within the process.
At Ancient Ceremonies Banco Puma Sanctuary in Peru, she works alongside her husband and son, maintaining the structure and continuity of the Lamista lineage.
Don Carlos Acho
Maestro Ayahuasquero
Don Carlos Acho Jarama represents the sixth generation of his family to carry forward the Lamista Banco tradition.
He began his apprenticeship in adolescence under the guidance of his father, Maestro Don Rober. After stepping away from the work for a period in early adulthood, he later returned to continue his training with renewed commitment.
Today, he holds ceremony at Ancient Ceremonies Banco Puma Sanctuary in Peru alongside his parents, working within the same disciplined structure passed down through their lineage.
He is responsible for the preparation of Ayahuasca and works closely with Amazonian teacher plants within the traditional framework of curanderismo.
As the only apprentice of Maestro Don Rober, Rodolfo shares a parallel path of responsibility with Don Carlos in maintaining the continuity of this lineage into the next generation.
